Spring 2008 Tournament Coverage

Tournament this Saturday from 10am-6pm! Look for pictures and summaries after the event! It should still be a solid tourney despite several people (who will remain nameless) who cannot make it for various reasons. Armies being played include: Vampire Counts, Dwarfs, Ogres or Wood Elves, Orcs and Goblins, and possibly Empire Format is 2250pts and 3 games which will feature various scenrios, specific objectives, and table-specific features

Rapid progress on Lumpin Croop's unit! I'm really surprised by how fast I'm geting these guys done. And they deserve it as their success on the battlefield has been demonstrated time and again. They should be finished within a few days at the most.

After that its the duellists! Still tweaking the color scheme for these guys and doing some small conversion work.

The tournament is also coming up!

Not much new, steady progress on the dwarf unit.

Picked up Ricco's Republican Guard and Lucrezia Belladonna for the DOW - Last thing to get will be Asarnil

DOW Dwarf Unit - WIP

Working on my 20 Dwarves for the DOW. The picture quality sucks, I'm gonna have to work on getting better lighting. All of the Dwarves have been basecoated and most have some of the basic colors. I finished one test model with a great weapon and am working on getting the unit champion up to that level too. More pics to come as I get more finished.

Test model. Turned out pretty good. Eventually I'll add some highlights but for now its all good.

News

Maneaters are completely finished, and the rest of the DOW are basecoated.

Next project are the cannons and the dwarf unit.

The DOW took on the Ogres again in a recent battle. I decided to switch things up a bit and try out Asarnil the Dragonlord. While he adds a ton of offense the points I had to cut out to use him trimmed my magic defense and shooting. I had to downgrade my lvl2 mage to lvl1 and 2 dispel scrolls. My mage lord had no items. Using Asarnil also takes up a rare slot so I was down to only 1 cannon as well. Every other unit was down to minimum numbers. WIthout posting a full battle report, lets just say the ogres quit on turn 3.

Adding 20 more Xbows to our forces to keep all those enemy hordes honest.

New Prject: Finishing the Battle Company -- Tactical Squads 5 +6

Starting the assembly phase right now. The new tactical boxes are completely superior to the older boxes as the new ones include both meltas and plasma guns instead of just a flamer as was the case with the older boxes. Also included are the parts for a missile launcher and quite a few options for the sergeant/vet. sergeant. Once these are assembled that will bring the army to 60 tactical marines!

Baneblade!!!

Time for some super-heavy support!!! The mighty baneblade joins our forces. This is one giant kit - double the sprues of a landraider. This is going to take some time to put together. Pics coming once its complete.
