Hello all, Slick here again. Hot on the heels of Gamesday, Forgeworld now has the excellent new Necron Tomb Stalker and Mega Grot Tank available for pre-order! These are definitely cool additions to their respective ranges.

"Hi there,
In this Newsletter, we have some fantastic news for Ork (or more properly Gretchin) and Necron players in the shape of two fantastic resin kits that are now available to pre-order.
We’ve also got some news about our Show schedule and the upcoming Italian and German Games Days.

Thanks,

Necron Tomb Stalker Available to Pre-Order Now

Necron Tomb StalkerThe Tomb Stalker is a previously unseen type of Necron construct armed with potent Gauss weaponry and razor-edged talons, which adds a devastating mix of firepower and combat ability to any Necron army. Designed by Will Hayes, this intricately detailed full resin kit can be constructed in a huge variety of dynamic positions as you can see in these images.

The Tomb Stalker is a huge, un-living machine, a swift and tireless engine of murder built to eternally protect the ancient sepulchres of the Necron Lords. The arcane machinery of the Tomb Stalker detects the pulse of life through hundreds of metres of solid rock, unerringly homing in on its unwitting prey and using a form of phase field to part solid matter like water. Imperial Armour writer Alan Bligh has put together a set of experimental rules for this sleek and ancient instrument of destruction that you can download here.

The Tomb Stalker is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing October 25th.

Grot Mega Tank Available to Pre-Order Now
Grot Mega TankThe Grot Mega Tank represents the pinnacle of Gretchin-built Heavy Tank technology, an overpowering war machine that drives all before it in a storm of scrap and destruction. Designed by Stuart Williamson, this full resin kit is festooned with unique details as you can see here, and Stuart has designed each turret to be fully cross-compatible with the Grot Tanks that he has previously worked on.

Hammered together out of junk, spare Mekboy know-wotz and unbridled Grot enthusiasm, the Grot Mega Tank adds even more firepower to the battlefield madness that has come to be known as a Grotzkrieg, terrifying Imperial Tacticians, Eldar Farseers and Chaos Warlords alike. Taking a brief break from his work on The Badab War Part II, Alan Bligh has created a set of experimental rules for the Grot Mega Tank that you can find here.

The Grot Mega Tank is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing October 25th."

News: Forgeworld Newsletter #240

View Comments
Hello all, Slick here. The latest Forgeworld Newsletter is out and there is more Orky goodness on the way in the form of Mekka-Dread upgrade arms! A Q&A for the new Imperial Armour is also out! Read on for more:

"Hi There,

Once again, the Ork factories of Kastorel-Novem (or MekSlag-Iks, depending on your army preference) churn forth more machinery of destruction to plague the battlefields of the far future. We also have a reminder about the forthcoming Games Days in Spain and Baltimore, for which we are still able to take reservation orders.

Thanks
Ead Brown

Ork Mekka-Dread and Arms available to pre-order now
Ork Mekka dreadThe extensively 'kustomized' walker machines are commonly fitted with multiple tool-equipped servo-arms for battlefield 'fixins' and experimental, energy-hungry weapons such as the outlandish Shunta, a compact magneto-gravitic 'traktor' gun, similar to the Lifta-Droppa, which can hurl a bubble of energy that smashes targets aside like a giant hammer. Their Big Mek pilots will delight in the destruction of enemy vehicles, using the huge saw-blade arms often seen on the Meka-Dread to strip the choicest scrap from the armoured carcass. Full background and technical information, as well as rules for fielding a Meka Dread in games of Warhammer 40,000 and Apocalypse can be found in Imperial Armour Volume Eight: Raid on Kastorel-Novem.

The Ork Meka Dread, Shunta Arm and Kil Saw are available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing June 28th. The Meka Dread is a fantastic addition to the Forge World Ork range - it boasts dizzingly fine details as you can see in the gallery of images, from the huge, extra loud engine to the smashed and battered set of viewing lenses that are used to aim the Shunta.

The Meka Dread Body is also supplied with a Big Mek pilot, holding the 'complex' Kontrol system of this unique war machine. These resin kits, designed by Phil Stutcinskas and Mark Bedford, allow you to add a complete Meka Dread to your army, and are also fully compatable with the existing Mega Dread Body, Rippa Klaw and Kil-Kannon for greater conversion potential.

Grot Tanks Update
Due to the incredible popularity of the Grot Tank Set that we announced in our last newsletter, our Production team have asked for more time to allow us to cast enough sets of these fantastic vehicles. As such, the shipping date for these tanks has been grudgingly moved to June 28th in order to ensure that we can release this kit without disappointment- we will, of course, endeavour to despatch all existing pre-orders as quickly as we can.

Imperial Armour Volume 8 Questions and Answers
Warwick has put together a question and answers page for Imperial Armour Volume 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem. You can grab a pdf copy of it here.

Forge World Events News
Forge World will be attending Games Day Spain on July 4th, and Games Day Baltimore on August 21st. We are now taking reservation orders for both of these exciting events. Just send an email to forgeworldreservations@games-workshop.co.uk including your name and a list of everything you'd like to reserve, and title your email `Games Day Spain Reservation` or ` Games Day Baltimore Reservation`. News: Forgeworld Newsletter #239

View Comments

Hello all, Slick here. The latest Forgeworld newsletter is out and there is some more Orky goodness on its way in the form of the Grot tanks! Four different tanks with various weapon options are available! These are are part of the latest Imperial Armour book.

"Hi There,

Gretchin players, rejoice! Forge World have reshaped the very nature of Warhammer 40,000, unleashing a force so powerful that the might of Craftworlds, Astartes and Septs alike will quail before it! This newsletter sees the launch of the indomitable, unstoppable, indefatigable Grot Tank Set – continue, dear reader, to find out more about this Grot-ish menace…

Waaaaagh-Grot!
Ead Brown

The Indescribable Power of the Grot – Grot Tanks available to pre-order Now
Grot TanksAcross the Forsarr sector, whispers and rumours rise of a threat greater even than the Kill Tanks that have so decimated the Elysian operations on Kastorel-Novem.
The thunder of engines and the blast of cannons heralds the advance of a new and deadly form of greenskin war machine in numbers beyond comprehension.
Armoured tracks grind inexorably onwards, driving all before them in a storm of destruction, as greenskins cackle madly at the sheer joy of their onslaught.
This devastating Grotzkrieg has laid waste to Imperial, Chaos, Tau, Eldar and Tyranid forces throughout the galaxy, and it seems that no fighting force in Warhammer 40,000 can stand against this new Gretchin devilry! (That’s what the Grots believe, at least!)

It is with some trepidation at the horror that will be unleashed across gaming tables everywhere that we can announce the release of the Grot Tank Set which is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing June 21st. First previewed at the Forge World Open Day earlier this year, these extremely detailed and unique models have been wildly anticipated. Forge World designer Daren Parrwood has created a set of four fantastically ramshackle war machines that are complimented by four unique tank Kommandaz sculpted by Mark Bedford. The full resin kit allows you to build three Grot Tanks and a Kommand Tank, equipped with an additional hull-mounted weapon.

These new Grot Tanks are a revolution in miniature modelling and wargaming. The set contains four different variant chassis, tracks, exhausts and turrets as well as four fantastic Grot Tank Kommandaz and 5 different, incredibly shooty, weapon options. As you may have seen at the Forge World Open Day, and on the Games Workshop Blog, Forge World designer Daren Parrwood has taken care to ensure the kit is fully modular – all of the chassis, turret, exhaust, track and weapon options are completely interchangeable. This allows more than a thousand individual tanks to be built from the kits, before even considering the possibilities that rise from a bits box or other items in the Forge World range, such as Grot Crew and the recently-released Weapons Set.
Full rules for using a Grot Tank Battle Mob can be found in the Dread Mob army list included in Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem, but Imperial Armour writer Alan Bligh was so excited about the release of the Grot Tanks that he has created a deliciously unhinged Apocalypse formation that you can download here.

News: Forgeworld Newsletter #238

View Comments
Hello all, Slick here. The latest Forgeworld Newsletter is out and there are more releases for Raven Guard and Orks in relation to Imperial Armour 8! The Stompa gets some more customization and battlewagons get the Lifta Droppa arm! Raven Guard get the custom door/shoulder pad treatment as with other marine chapters.

"Hi There,
Once again, we have a newsletter packed full of fantastic releases for you, all of which are featured in our brand new Imperial Armour book, Raid on Kastorel-Novem. This tells the story of a surprise attack by the forces of the Imperium against a vital Ork world and the desperate battles that follow. You can find out more about our new book Here.

Thanks
Ead Brown

The Raven Guard
Last week`s newsletter saw the release of Simon Egan's fantastically detailed Shadow Captain Korvydae and Raven Guard Upgrade Set, which have proved hugely popular. Hot on the heels of these two infantry kits is a swathe of heavier options for Raven Guard players:

Raven Guard Thunderhawks and MKIIB Land Raider
Raven Guard These taciturn Astartes may be famed for their stealth, but no Raven Guard Strike Force would be complete without armour. The Raven Guard Thunderhawk Gunship allows Space Marine infantry to swiftly redeploy to exploit the weaknesses of an enemy battle line. This mighty aircraft is supplied with a set of Chapter specific doors encrusted with Raven Guard icons and battle honours.

Heavy equipment is often flown from an orbiting Strike Cruiser or Battle Barge to support an initial Drop Pod assault. The Transporter variant of the mighty Thuderhawk Gunship sacrifices its additional weaponry and transport capacity in favour of huge grapple arms that clamp to the hull of an armoured vehicle. The Raven Guard Thunderhawk Transporter with Land Raider and Raven Guard Thunderhawk Transporter with Rhinos, allow a fast moving Strike Force to quickly deploy heavy reinforcements in support of an engagement.

Space Marine tanks are renowed throughout the Imperium, and none more so than the indomitable Land Raider. The ancient MKIIb pattern of this tank is an honoured relic amongst those Chapters that posses one, and the war-spirit of each revered machine is is undiminished despite the millennia since the activation of each system. The Raven Guard MkIIb Land Raider is but one example, and this resin and plastic hybrid kit is supplied with a set of doors featuring detailed Raven Guard iconography.

The Raven Guard Thunderhawks and MKIIB Land Raider are available to order now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

The Orks!
In addition to our recent `Chinork` Warcopta and Kustom Stompa Upgrades we have yet more Orky releases, fresh from the twisted depths of Buzzgob's genius:

Full Kustom Stompa with Belly Gun
StompaBy popular demand, we`ve put together a complete Kustom Stompa kit featuring the Kustom Stompa Head, Stompa Klaw Arm, Stompa Lifta Droppa and Stompa Belly Gun along with the Games Workshop plastic Stompa model enable you to build a fully 'kustomised' Stompa. Rules for this colossal metal beast (along with scores of other potential Stompa variants for you to build) can be found in Imperial Armour Volume 8, Raid on Kastorel-Novem as part of 'Buzzgob's Mek Workshop Kustom Stompa Builder'.

The Ork Kustom Stompa with Belly Gun is available now from the Forge World Webstore

Ork Lifta Droppa Wagon
Battlewagon Lifta DroppaAlso new for the Orks is this fantastically ludicrous Battlewagon with Lifta Droppa, designed by Stuart Williamson and Mark Bedford. Only an Ork would dare to put such an unstable and powerful energy weapon on the back of a heavily armoured, flatbed, battlewagon to create an ungainly weapon of unimaginable power. The massive 'Traktor' beam is capable of picking up an enemy tank and throwing it around like an enraged child with a toy - as long as the onboard reactor doesn't blow up first of course! This huge and outlandish cannon comes as a hybrid resin and plastic kit with Games Workshop Battle Wagon parts, added mountings and Ork gunner. Full rules for the Ork Lifta Droppa Wagon can be found in Imperial Armour Volume 8, Raid on Kastorel-Novem.

The Ork Lifta Droppa Wagon is available to order now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

Ork Weapons Set
Just the thing for any enterprising Mekboy our final Ork release for this Newsletter is a fantastic new Ork weapons set by the Studio Design Team. Included are twelve different guns including big shootas, shootas, skorchas and rokkit launchas along with weapon mounting brackets to fit them on your vehicles, and spare shells, magazines and ammo belts. You can find pictures of all this extra Dakka Here.

The Ork Weapons Set is available to order now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

Hello all, Chris here. The latest FW newsletter is out and there are some exciting new releases heading our way. The Raven Guard get a special character as well as an upgrade pack, and the Orks are getting the massive new Warkopta! You can just imagine a squad of these flying across the battlefield.

"Hello There,
We`ve lots of new releases for you this newsletter, with some serious reinforcements on the way for both the Raven Guard Space Marines and the Orks! All of this is of course because our latest Imperial Armour book, Raid on Kastorel-Novem, has just hit the shelves, (so to speak). This tells the story of a surprise attack by the forces of the Imperium against a vital Ork world and the desperate battles that follow. You can see more about our new book Here.

Thanks
Alan Bligh

The Raven Guard
A notably grim and resolute Chapter of the 1st Founding of the Space Marines, the Raven Guard are masters of guerrilla tactics, surprise assaults, sowing terror and the execution of the brutal and overwhelming killing blow. Their black-clad Space Marines strike fear into the hearts of the enemies of humanity, while their war machines are adorned with symbols of death and inescapable fate.

Shadow Captain Korvydae
Shadow CaptainDesigned by Simon Egan, this is simply one of the most fantastically detailed 28mm models you will ever see, and if you don't believe me just look at the Gallery shots which you can find Here! A Space Marine Captain equipped with a jump pack and a Thunderhammer, Korydae is a fearsome opponent in combat, exemplifying his Chapter's mastery of hit and run tactics. Full rules for Shadow Captain Korvydae can be found in Imperial Armour Volume 8, Raid on Kastorel-Novem.
Shadow Captain Korvydae is available to pre-order Now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

Raven Guard Upgrade Set
Raven Guard Upgrade Also available to pre-order is our Raven Guard upgrade set, designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes. This set contains highly detailed Raven Guard Mark VI 'Corvus' pattern armour helmets, torsos, shoulder plates and backpacks for use in conjunction with the Games Workshop Space Marine plastic infantry kits. The set contains enough parts to make five marines in Mark VI armour in combination with plastics including a Veteran Sergeant, as well as five alternate pattern Sternguard bolters. You can see some gallery images of models made with these much anticipated upgrades Here.
The Raven Guard upgrade set is available to pre-order Now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

The Orks!
Brutal alien killers who live only for war, the Orks are a savage scourge on the galaxy whose ceaseless battles with the Imperium have resulted in an endless struggle for mankind's survival in the grim darkness of the far future. The only thing more dangerous than the Orks themselves is the crude but deadly technology they wield, able to smash and rip apart their enemies with shot, shell, energy blast and hydraulic claw.

Ork Warkopta
WarcoptaDesigned by Phil Stutcinskas with crew by Mark Bedford, these intricate and more than slightly crazed flying machines are designed for one thing only; getting a mob of boyz into combat as fast as possible, with the added bonus of being able to shout insults at the footsloggers down below as they fly over their heads. The Warkopta is a full resin model and looks hugely Orkish as you can see Here, with twin chain-driven whirling blades, engines, rattler guns and lots of added detail, it even comes with a set of arms to enable you to model Games Workshop's plastic Orks clinging on for dear life!
Rules for the Ork Warkopta can be found in Imperial Armour Volume 8, Raid on Kastorel-Novem.

The Ork Warkopta is available for pre order Now from the Forge World Webstore for release the week commencing the 24th of May.

Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem available to order now!
StompaWe are proud to announce that our newest Imperial Armour book is available to order now for immediate release. Waaagh! Garaghak has taken several key Imperial worlds across the Forsarr sector and invaded the primary Hive World in a storm of violence. This fantastic 224 page book, written by Warwick Kinrade and Alan Bligh, details the daring raid into Ork territory planned and executed by the Space Marines of the Raven Guard chapter and the 181st Elysian Drop Regiment. The full colour book is comprehensively illustrated with over 150 illustrations, profiles, technical drawings and vehicle profiles for Elysian Drop Troops and Raven Guard as well as the Goff, Evil Sunz, and Death Skullz Ork clans. News: Forgeworld Newsletter #235

View Comments
Hello all, Slick here. The latest Forgeworld newsletter is out and there are some awesome new releases coming out for Orks and Tau! (yes, Tau) The Stompa is getting several upgrade kits which will add to an already awesome kit and should make them an even bigger menace in Apocalypse games. The Tau are getting some really cool battlesuits whose new weapon systems seem to be another evolution of their technology. Rapid-fire meltas anyone? I am liking the new sleeker look of these battlesuits as opposed to the old blocky ones that currently make up the GW range. Comments welcome!

"Hi There,
In this Newsletter we have a great selection of eagerly-anticipated Ork, Space Wolves and Tau releases, first showcased at the Forge World Open Day. We also have some news about the upcoming Games Day France, for which we are making our final preparations.

Thanks,
Ead Brown

Ork Kustom Stompa
StompaThere are some Mek Bosses who are well-supplied enough to be able to kustom-build a Stompa as a bespoke project for a particularly wealthy Warboss, extra spikes, additional weapons and ornate bosspoles are common additions. The weapon arms usually seen on these war machines are replaced with energy weapons capable of tossing huge tanks across the battlefield with devastating results, or giant rippa klaws to rend enemy war machines apart at close quarters - all the better to claim the choicest scrap for future projekts.

The Meks also delight in diverting the power of the Stompas roaring engines into enormous and unpredictable force beam generators, built into the head of this gigantic idol to Gork (or possibly Mork). Such devastating power can tear even the mighty Titans of the Adeptus Mechanicus asunder in a storm of energy, and regardless of design are commonly known as the Gaze of Mork (or possibly Gork). Some firepower-obsessed Meks even replace the internal transport capacity of a Stompa with a huge-bore Kannon, usually called a Belly Gun in typical Orky fashion. The unstable gait of the war machine makes such a weapon even more inaccurate, but this is seen as a suitable trade for the overwhelming noise of the gun and the size of the explosions made by its gargantuan shells.

These monstrous resin upgrade kits for the plastic Stompa, designed by Stuart Williamson, allow you to add a wide variety of weapon options to the plastic Stompa kit. The resin conversion kits are available to order here for dispatch during the week commencing April 26th, and can also be purchased as a complete resin and plastic kit:

Tau XV-9-01 with Fusion Cascades
XV9-1 Fusion CascadeThe first of our XV-9 variants, this advanced Battlesuit, designed by Daren Parrwood, mounts cutting-edge fusion gun variants that can be used with the high-tech systems of the XV-9, and the Fusion Cascade engulfs its target in powerful melta energy. It fires in bursts, meaning that despite each charge being less powerful than an Imperial equivalent, it can overwhelm its target through weight of fire.

Tau XV-9-04 with Phased Ion Guns
XV-9-4 PHased Ion Cannons
The XV-9-04 wields Phased Ion Guns - these experimental weapons seek to develop the rapid-firing technology of the Cyclic Ion blaster and vehicle mounted Ion Cannon into a stable battlesuit system. The long accelerators of the Phased Ion Gun allow the pilot to engage the enemy at range with a storm of projectiles that react explosively on an atomic level, decimating heavily armoured infantry and vehicles.

Tau Shas'o R'alai and Drones
Shaso RalaiThe Shas'vre assigned to pilot the XV-9 Battlesuit armour are combat veterans, each a survivor of the deadliest battles against the Greater Good's most savage foes. The Fire Caste of Ke'lshan has mastered the use of the XV-9, and within this cadre of solemn and determined warriors Shas'o R'alai is a paragon amongst veterans; his skills have been rewarded with the most advanced weapons and equipment produced by the Earth Caste.

Full rules and background for the XV-9, XV-9-01 and XV-9-04 can be found in Imperial Armour Apocalypse II. Full rules and background for Shas'o R'alai will be available to download from the Forge World website in the coming months.
All three of these resin kits, designed by Daren Parrwood, are available to order here for dispatch during the week commencing April 26th.
