News: IG 2nd Wave - New Hellhound Kit

Hey all, it was apparently revealed at GD Spain - first pics of the new Hellhound plastic kit which will let you make the Banewolf and Devil Dog.

Overall it looks good, it is an improvement over the metal/plastic hybrid for sure. It still doesn't compare to the FW Hellhound. The meltagun looks 'ok' but the chem cannon is just plain dreadful. At least it looks like it should be easy to magnetize the guns on this to get the most out of the kit. What do you guys think?

Imperial Guard: Baneblade Rollout

Well, it's taken quite a while to paint, but it's finally time to rollout out the mighty baneblade 'Lohengrin' of the 130th Panzer Division. It's by no means finished, there are still a bunch of little details to work on and touchups to be made all over the tank but it's certainly ready to be on the battlefield now where it will make its presence felt. I've added kill markers on pretty much all the guns and using some of the etched brass from the hero basing kit I added some extra icons here and there. Once all the details and touchups are out of the way I will add some extensive stowage to the tank to represent an in-battle feel. Comments welcome!

News: New Cities of Death Stratagems Released for Imperial Guard

With all the hype surrounding the impending release of Planetstrike and the attention that has been focused on Apocalypse, it may come as a surprise that GW is releasing some new Cities of Death stratagems for the Imperial Guard, which has largely been collecting dust since it's release (they have also recently released some Ork stratagems in a WD - if you still buy that).

These new stratagems feature some really cool conversions and if you haven't tried CoD before it may be worth taking a look at then. The really cool part is that with enough ambition you could combine Cities of Death, Planetstrike, Apocalpyse, and regular 40K as part of a campaign.
The new stratagems include:
Forward Spotters
Killdozer
Las-cutters
Scroungers
Heavy Ploughs
The Light of the Emperor
Vox Booster
Comms Relay

Blood Angels: Land Speeder Tornado

Hi all, time for some more Blood Angels goodness, this time it's a Land Speeder Tornado. I'm pretty excited to finally have this one finished as it's been sitting in my collection for like 4-5 years with nothing but primer on it. I took the time to paint the crew before gluing them in on this one and it definitely looks a lot better than my much older standard Land Speeder. Seems like I've been working on a lot of Fast Attack stuff lately. Being Blood Angels, there is nothing wrong with that :)

Next up will be pics of one of the coolest units out there (hint: they're mostly black and with some red, and are crazed berserkers :) )

For now though here are some pics of the Tornado (comments welcome!):

Dogs of War: Maneater Unit WIP

Hey all, just a summary of where I'm at with the Maneaters - they're 2/3 of the way done, just one more armed with a Cathayan Longsword to go. The last one shouldn't actually take too long to do as there are only a few parts I want to repaint. Look for him and pics of the finished unit soon! In the meantime enjoy a few pics of the wrecking crew :)

Dogs of War: Maneater WIP

Hey all, small update here for the Dogs of War who haven't gotten much attention lately due to all the work going into churning out Blood Angels and various other pieces for Apocalypse. This is my Maneater with a great weapon and he rolls with a unit of 2 other Maneaters armed with Cathayan Longswords. This guy gets the chariot and knight killing duties with his 4 S7 attacks. These guys are definitely a blast to paint as there is a lot of detail to work on. I greenstuffed some extra chainmal pieces on him to lend him a more 'heavy armor' look. I still need to go back and hit some more highlights on the skin as well as the purple and yellow of his clothes. I'm going with a darker overall skintone on this guy just to set him apart from the other two. This guy like the other Maneaters is a repaint from a previous scheme that I wasn't quite satisfied with. I'm liking the two finished ones now compared to what they looked like before. IIRC purple and yellow/gold are Marienburg colors, but don't hold me to that. Comments welcome!
