Imperial Guard: Hellhammer WIP

View Comments
Hell all, Slick here. Time for some more heavy metal. This time it's a wip of the Hellhammer for my Imperial Guard forces. This one still needs a ton of detail work but it's starting to shape up nicely. I haven't had a chance to use this beast in Apocalypse yet but I think it is time to debut it for this year's Lucky 13s. Comments welcome!

Blood Angels: Reinforcements!

View Comments
Hello all, Slick here. With the Blood Angels launch the other day, I had to pick up a lot of the new releases of course! Our store didn't get the new Baal Predator yet but I did pick up quite a bit. Two Sanguinary Guard and 2 Death Company along with the Sanguinor and Lemartes will do for starters. The two new plastic sets have a ton of extra bits and pieces to customize the rest of your Blood Angels. I'm in the assembly phase right now so hopefully I can get around to painting these guys soon.

News: Mantic Newsletter

Hello all, Slick here. The latest Mantic newsletter is out and there are some pretty good new releases: more of their Undead range is out, and check out that cool dragon for the High Elves! Last but not least check out the Mantic Paint set!

Mantic Games Newsletter
Happy Easter!

Mantic Towers (which you can see in our new Guided Tour video), has a new gatekeeper – Garius Maximus, and he has some new and shiny things to show you this Easter!

To start with, we have two brand new metal kits: the Undead Death Kings Cabal and the Elf Lord on Battle Dragon, available for preorder.

With the Warhosts of the Undead now spilling into the mortal world, the Death Kings Cabal features 4 metal heroes -2 Necromancers, a Revenant Hero and a standard bearer – to lead your Undead horde into battle. Dynamically posed and possessed of fine detail, these insane characters raise up the remains of former soldiers to fight again once more and are included free in Malak's Legion of Death!

For the Elves, nothing is more intimidating than an Elf Lord on Battle Dragon, and we proudly unveiled this figure in the mantic blog last week. The Battle Dragon is a premium metal kit and is great for those hobbyists who want to flex their painting muscles, or for gamers wanting to add the most powerful of heroes to their army. An Elf Lord on his own is a formidable opponent: coupled with a Battle Dragon, he is nigh on unstoppable.

These two sets will be released on the 26th April and, to celebrate, we've also added a new Army Deal. Tydarion's Dragon Host combines two Elven Warhost – over 100 plastic figures including 40 Spearmen, 40 Bowmen, 20 Scouts and 2 warmachines – with an Elf Dragon's Breath, Elf Kings Court, Elf Stormwind Riders and a FREE Elf Lord on Battle Dragon. With 16 Mantic Points, 5 cavalry figures, a plethora of infantry and warmachines, a mighty court of 4 Elven Heroes and a devastatingly powerful and beautifully detailed Dragon Lord, the Elves can finally take the fight to Mhorgoth's dread Undead horde.

Undead Paintset

With huge battles comes a huge number of miniatures, and a very busy painting station. We've been hard at work collaborating on a new set of colours called Warpaints, high quality acrylic paints that are the best available for painting miniatures with, and April sees our first paint set available for pre-order.

Released on the 26th April, the Undead Paintset contains six 15ml Warpaints – Black, White, Bone, Armour, Blue and Red – a sprue of 10 highly detailed plastic skeletons and a quality paint brush, all wrapped up in a Mantic Carry Case, and even includes a Mantic Point!

This full-to-the-brim set gives you everything you need to start painting your masses of troops, even giving you figures to get started with should you have not had chance to pick yourself up a box yet. For more information, visit the shop here.
Next month sees the launch of the Mantic Paint set – 9 colours, a brush and free figures - all you need to start painting.

News: Forgeworld Newsletter #234

View Comments
Hello all, Slick here. The latest FW newsletter is out and there is a slew of new stuff on the way! The releases are mainly for the upcoming IA: Vol 8 factions so lots of Ravenwing, Ork, and Elysian releases.

Hi There,
This newsletter comes hot on the heels of our fourth Forge World Open Day, which was a great success. We have a range of fantastic new releases for you, and we can also unveil full details of the brand new Forge World website and online store.

Thanks,
Ead Brown

New Forge World Website Now Live!
As you can see here, the old Forge World website has been discontinued and replaced with a brand new, fully updated version.
Our new, more user-friendly site will make placing an order much easier. The new website will automatically and securely send your order straight to our despatch team, which should mean that all orders will be despatched a few days earlier than previously. All orders placed on our old website during the changeover have already been retrieved and we are processing these as quickly as possible.

The new website holds the complete range of Forge World kits, Imperial Armour books and Modelling Supplies and every category contains images of the items both painted and unpainted. We'll be expanding these galleries over the next few weeks, and much of the content of the old website will return as soon as possible as well, so keep checking the website for the addition of downloadable rules, hobby advice and much more.

To celebrate the launch of the all-new site, we have some great new releases for you, all of which are available to order now for immediate despatch:

Raven Guard Rhino, Land Raider, and Terminator Land Raider Doors
Stompa These vehicle upgrade sets, designed by Simon Egan, contain replacement side doors and a front hatch suitable for use on all Rhino chassis tanks such as Predators and Whirlwinds, and all Land Raider variants. Two sets of Land Raider doors are available, one featuring additional Crux Terminatus icons. You can order these door sets here.

The Raven Guard feature heavily in the forthcoming Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem, as they operate stealth missions deep inside Ork strongholds on the occupied Industrial world. While a Raven Guard strike force is predominantly composed of Assault Marines, heavy equipment is also used and the armoured vehicles of the Chapter are honoured relics which are lovingly maintained and embellished by skilled artificers to display their battle honours and Chapter heraldry.

New Forge World Weathering Powders
This new set of our popular Weathering Powders expands and compliments our current six pigments with a further eight. The new powders are Aged Rust, Light Rust, Bone Dust, Faded Green, Dark Iron, Dry Mud, Fresh Mud and Medium Earth, and are available to order both individually and as a full set here. Some examples of the weathering effects that can be achieved with the new powders can be found here.

Forge World Open Day Aftermath
Thanks to everyone who made the journey to Warhammer World on Sunday to attend the Forge World Open Day - visitors from as far afield as Italy, Germany, Wales, London and even Brazil were in attendance! We hope you all had a fantastic day - everyone here at Forge World certainly did.

You can see pictures of the day here - including some close-up shots of the winner of the coveted Best in Show trophy for our painting competition as well as the draw of our charity Titan raffle. A special thank you is in order to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, and this year we raised a mighty £1,350 for Children In Need!

People who came along saw lots of new models on our Studio stand, many of which will be available to order within the next few weeks. Some of them will be available pre-release at Games Day France and Salute, more details of which will feature in forthcoming newsletters.

Elysian Troops for Valkyrie
Elysian Valkyrie TroopsThis fantastic upgrade set for the plastic Valkyrie details the interior of the transport with a squad of Elysian Drop troops prepping in the moments before an assault - the troopers are all highly distinctive; checking weapons, talking amongst themselves and discussing the mission over a dataslate. The set contains a full Drop Troop squad of 10 seated troopers carrying a variety of equipment, as well as lasguns mag-clamped to the roof of the Valkyrie. Click here to order these incredible miniatures, designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes, as well as to view more images of the upgrade set.

Elysian Tauros Assault Vehicle
Tauros AssaultThe Tauros Venator is but one variant of this multi-purpose assault vehicle - the 'standard' 4-wheel Tauros is used by the Elysian regiments as a long-range scout vehicle, mounting potent anti-personnel firepower in the form of either a Heavy Flamer or Tauros Grenade Launcher. Its four wheels are individually powered by advanced high-yield galvanic motors, allowing it to maintain speed even with damaged tyres - often giving it a crucial edge when faced with superior enemy firepower. This finely detailed model, designed by Will Hayes, is a full resin kit that comes with options for a Heavy Flamer or Grenade Launcher as well as two resin crew models, designed by Simon Egan. The Tauros can be transported in either a Valkyrie Sky Talon or a standard Valkyrie. You can order the Tauros and see more pictures of both painted and unpainted models here. Full rules and background for the Tauros and its variant, the Tauros Venator will be available in Imperial Armour Volume 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem.
