Hot off the press, here is the latest from Forgeworld:
"Hi There,
It`s been a little while since our last newsletter and we have lots to tell you; first off we have three great releases which have already been previewed at our open day: The Blight Drone, The Blood Slaughterer and The Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald. We also have news about our Warhound Titan range, upcoming events and the announcement that our new catalogue is ready!
Thanks
Alan Bligh
Blood SlaughtererA murderous daemon-engine crafted by the servants of the Blood God Khorne, the Slaughterer is a spider-like and heavily armoured war machine larger than a dreadnought. Designed for furious close assault, where it is able to butcher swathes of enemy infantry as well as smash its way through barricades and armoured vehicles with ease.
This wonderfully vicious looking model designed by Phil Stutcinskas is covered in fantastic detail as you can see here from its ornate armour to the trapped victims and the ritual daemon-bindings on its chassis. A 360 degree view is also available here.
Full rules for the Blood Slaughterer can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.
The Blood Slaughterer is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.
Blight DroneAnother new daemon-engine, this time in the service of Nurgle, Chaos God of decay and corruption is the Blight Drone. A bizarre fusion of daemon, machine and insect this deadly blasphemy of occult science is a skimmer armed with nightmarish toxic weapons.
This striking model, designed by Darren Parrwood, has some great details which depict the Blight Drone’s rusted and decay-pitted armour and bloated organic structure. You can see the Blight Drone Here as well as a great Blight Drone diorama by Mark Bedford. A 360 degree view is also available here.
Full rules for the Blight Drone can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.
The Blight Drone is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.
A New Way to Purchase Your Warhound TitansIn response to popular demand, we will now be selling all of our existing Warhound titans, including the Mars, Chaos, Wolf and Jackal patterns have been split up so that the titan main bodies and their weapon arms are separate.
As a result our Warhound Titans will now be sold much like our Dreadnought range is with separate weapon options. This will enable us to expand our range more easily in future and help out our many customers who have asked to buy different weapons more freely.
However please note that the existing weapon arms for both the Mars and Chaos pattern Warhounds are ‘sided’ left and right and so may require some cosmetic conversion to use as a pair of the same weapon.
Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald The third of our new releases is our amazing Daemon Prince and Herald of Khorne. Designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes, the Daemon Prince model stands 3 ¾ inches (9 ½ CM) tall. This brutal beast would be perfectly usable as a Daemon Prince or Greater Daemon either for Warhammer Fantasy Battle or Warhammer 40,000, as can the Herald which is a characterful and (not to mention gore-splattered) large and armoured Bloodletter in form and can be seen Here.
A 360 degree view is also available here.
Full rules for this Daemon Prince and his Herald as a special character can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.
The Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.
Forge World Catalogue 2009The new Forge World 2009 catalogue is now available and contains all of our recent releases. If you would like a free copy of the catalogue, which we will send out at no cost to anywhere in the world, you can either send an email with your full name and address details to forgeworldcatreq@games-workshop.co.uk or give a ring on:0115 916 8177 and we will take your address details and get you one sent out as soon as we can."
Some interesting news here, namely the fact that you can order parts for titans individually now so you can just buy one titan and get all the weapon options instead of having to buy another complete titan to get other weapons. Good move for FW there! Looks like Chaos is set to receive plenty of goodies this year! Anyone getting a titan? Comments welcome!
